  • Specific The more specific you are, the more likely your success. Details remove indecision & help focus your attention.
  • Measurable Your goal must be tangible. Answer the question: How will I know when I reach my goal?
  • Acceptable You & only you knows what is most important to you. That’s why you & only you should set your goals. You know your strengths & when you see yourself worthy of the goals you set, you will develop the skills & personality necessary to achieve them.
  • Realistic What conditions would have to exist for you to reach your goal? Are you willing & able to work towards your goal? Yes, challenge yourself, but be cautious of over-commitment. Maintain some flexibility.
  • Time-bound A goal needs a deadline for you to work towards & to provide an end to the process.
